Thrive West Central is a leading organization working to tackle community development issues and opportunities as a region. Through their outreach, Thrive West Central has agreed to lead a housing initiative to encourage home builders to construct a variety of different housing options within the Vigo County and the City of Terre Haute. Thrive West Central's housing initiative is intended to assist homebuilders with building costs, overall infrastructure costs and construction workforce shortage issues.
The grant program is designed to increase homebuilding efforts. Thrive West Central will work with local engineers, developers and realtors to design homes, while looking at new modern and efficient homes, attractive to today’s buyer. Thrive will create an RFQ process, which allows builders to present proposals on their housing ideas and concepts.
The selection team will determine the best opportunity for homebuyers, encouraging multiple concepts to attract single family home buyers and allow affordable options.
